We've moved to Launceston in Tasmania in July 2006 from Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains. We love it here! Tasmania is so different from the rest of Australia. It reminds me of Europe. Some of the most beautiful scenery is to be found here. Have a look at some of our photos....

Spirit of Tasmania arriving from Melbourne
The Spirit of Tasmania 2 seen from the Spirit of Tasmania 3 going to Sydney. The ferry going to Sydney unfortunately no longer exists, it is now part of the French fleet going from Nice to Corsica...

Tamar River at Brady's lookout
Brady's lookout is a few kilometres north of Launceston

Lake Dove, Cradle Mountain
One of the most beautiful place in Tasmania. There is a walk around the lake that is breathtaking. It takes about three hours, but unfortunately in three hours the weather can change dramatically, from bloody hot to freezing cold...

Port Arthur
We've been to Port Arthur many times, but it still is an incredible place where the magic of the old buildings still lingers in the sun. It's hard to imagine how hard the life of the convicts was.

Gordon River
One of the most peaceful and beautiful place this planet has to offer!

Frecynet National Park on the east cost

The king river seen from the West Cost Railway steam train.
(Beats the Metro any day!)
